Woody's Sasparilla
Region: Dover, England
Price: $12.45 / 4pk
I tried this with my father-in-law, his first words were "dangerous because it goes down too easy". I have to agree, it's really easy to drink. Sweet, but not too sweet and a taste that is a very passable Root Beer. One thing that really set it apart from other coolers is that it's not heavily over-carbonated, most are fizzier than pop and that changes the flavour, this one is only mildly carbonated, letting you really taste the flavours of the drink instead of just a mouthful of sugar and carbonation. I was also pleased by it's lack of heavy alcohol taste, not to say that it doesn't pack a bit of a kick, it just doesn't taste that way. This is perfect for a hot summer afternoon fresh from the freezer in a frosty mug... think A&W for grown-ups.
